Meet Our Trainers

Our courses are delivered by a highly qualified and experienced team of teacher trainers who have diploma-level English language teaching qualifications. They all have substantial varied classroom-based and online English language teaching experience in numerous contexts, and they have taught a range of levels and different types of classes during their careers.

All of our trainers have been through Cambridge CELTA’s rigorous training program, and they are also regularly assessed after each course they deliver by a member of Cambridge’s assessor team. As a result, our training team is extremely effective in the delivery of the CELTA course and continuously involved in their own personal professional development during the courses they teach. All team members are fully committed to their role and are dedicated to the provision of the best possible training experience for our CELTA trainees.

My name is Brian Cook. I am currently a CELTA main course tutor at ACE working on the courses we deliver in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and online. I have been teaching at ACE since 2014 and have been an Academic Coordinator and teacher trainer for the past several years. Prior to becoming an Academic Coordinator, I was a teacher and Lead Teacher at our campus in Siem Reap, where I got experience teaching young learners as well as teaching courses in General English, IELTS preparation, and English for Academic Purposes both face-to-face and online.

In my roles at ACE, I have helped to write internal and external teacher training courses, and I worked together with the Academic Team to train our teaching staff on how to teach online during the pandemic. I frequently deliver professional development sessions for our teaching staff on a variety of topics, and I have conducted teacher training internationally as a U.S. Department of State Virtual English Language Fellow. Additionally, I have delivered several workshops at the annual CamTESOL English Language Teaching conference in Phnom Penh.
